Attorney General Merrick Garland picked Jack Smith to run the witch hunt against Donald Trump for a reason.
That reason is becoming clear to the American people.
And a skeleton in Jack Smith’s closest is about to turn everything upside-down.
The corporate media played along with Attorney General Merrick Garland’s charade that Smith is a by-the-books prosecutor who calls balls and strikes with no discernable political affiliation.
That’s not true at all.
In 2010, Smith began working in the Obama administration as chief of the Public Integrity Unity of the Justice Department.
And Barack Obama was the first Democrat President to completely weaponize the federal government against Republicans.
Smith’s record shows he’s a leftwing ideologue who pursues baseless and abusive prosecutions of Republicans like former Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell.
Smith pursued a federal corruption case against McDonnell – even though McDonnell was the Governor of Virginia and the corruption Smith alleged took place HAD involved state business.
Much like Alvin Bragg’s novel legal theory to target Donald Trump, Smith cooked up a dubious set of bribery charges against McDonnell and his wife.
McDonnell was the first Virginia Governor ever to face criminal charges.
Smith won a conviction that the Supreme Court threw out on a unanimous 8-0 vote ruling that Smith had stretched the definition of an official act to such an absurd length that, under this interpretation, any act a politician took on behalf of a constituent could be considered bribery.
This overreach led to courts throwing out corruption convictions against politicians like former Louisiana Congressman William Jefferson.
Talk show host Mark Levin hammered Smith over his history of prosecutorial abuse of power.
“This guy Smith has a record,” Levin declared. “Going after the former governor of Virginia – and then he’s rebuked by the Supreme Court 8-0. One of the few cases where they all got together – [he] ruined [McDonnell’s] career.”
Smith is also married to a known liberal activist who helped produce a film about Michelle Obama and is a Joe Biden campaign donor.
2020 was a big year for Katy Chevigny.
She produced a film about Michelle Obama.
And donated $1,000 to Biden’s presidential campaign.
Now her husband Jack Smith indicted Biden’s chief political enemy.

Attorney General Merrick Garland picked Jack Smith to lead the Trump investigation because Garland knew he’d never have put anything in writing or communicate verbally any orders to get Trump.
Smith is a zealous prosecutor who knows his job is to enforce the double standard of justice and take down Trump.
With a wink and a nod to the fact that Democrats benefit from the law – while the law is used to punish Republicans – Smith included quotes form Donald Trump in the 2016 campaign about how Hillary Clinton was unfit to serve as president because she mishandled classified information.
Smith wanted everyone to know Clinton got away with that one – at the same time Smith is now trying to jail Trump on the same charges.
But Smith’s actions and history has led many to believe that this sham selective prosecution was manufactured solely because Donald Trump threatens Joe Biden’s tenuous grip on power.
