For years, the liberal media ridiculed anyone who claimed COVID came from the Wuhan Lab.
Conservatives were accused of “spreading disinformation.”
But now, even Joe Biden’s Federal government is finally admitting the truth about COVID.
Years after the original hypothesis was put forward that COVID was created in a Chinese lab, a new report from Joe Biden’s own Department of Energy now confirms a theory that was once ridiculed by the liberal media.
Just over a year ago, anyone who said that COVID was invented at the Wuhan lab and then leaked out to the general public would be ruthlessly criticized, discredited, and accused of spreading “disinformation.”
Talk of the “lab leak hypothesis” was even once considered grounds for being censored by multiple social media giants.
And now, the Federal government has finally confirmed what conservatives were saying since the early days of the COVID pandemic.
The Wall Street Journal reports, “The U.S. Energy Department has concluded that the Covid pandemic most likely arose from a laboratory leak, according to a classified intelligence report recently provided to the White House and key members of Congress.”
What is so astonishing about this development is how long it took for the Federal government to finally publicly admit what millions of Americans had known for years.
And it marks one of the last admissions that the liberal media had been engaged in a widespread disinformation campaign of their own.
“The shift by the Energy Department, which previously was undecided on how the virus emerged, is noted in an update to a 2021 document by Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines’s office,” adds the Wall Street Journal.
“The Energy Department, which had previously been undecided on the origins of the pandemic, recently joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation in saying the virus likely spread via a mishap at a Chinese laboratory.”
The shocking turn of events marks the last chapter of a pandemic riddled with politicization and disinformation from the Left.
From shutting down skate parks to sectioning off entire aisles in grocery stores, Democrat politicians in states like California, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York completely shut down their economies, all while lying to the general public about important facts related to COVID that the liberal media would refuse to admit to until years after the event.
The lab leak hypothesis is now just the latest in a series of major reversals from the Left, who finally realize they have no ground to stand on when it comes to the debate on COVID.
The Wall Street Journal adds, “Rep. Mike Gallagher (R., Wis.), chairman of the House select committee on China, called for the Biden administration to declassify Covid information. He said he is seeking to pass legislation to impose sanctions and other restrictions on China-affiliated scientists until there is a full investigation into the Chinese lab.”
Now, liberal politicians and “journalists” want to normalize facts about COVID all while pretending that they were not the very forces publicly pressuring and attacking people to hid the truth throughout the pandemic.
But in finally admitting what millions of people already knew, these same politicians and media outlets have helped conservatives make the case that they lack any sort of credibility worth trusting.
