The establishment is once again ganging up on Donald Trump.
Republican and Democrat elites want to stop Trump once and for all.
And that left Donald Trump furious and you see what George W. Bush and Barack Obama just collude to do.
There are no coincidences in politics.
On consecutive days after Trump announces his re-election campaign George W. Bush and Barack Obama will host events on democracy and “misinformation.”
“Former U.S. Presidents George Bush and Barack Obama are headlining back-to-back democracy conferences next week, highlighting rising threats from authoritarianism and disinformation — and how to combat them globally and at home,” Axios exclusively reported.
Not coincidentally those were two of the top themes Democrats pushed in the midterm election.
“I actually think it’s terrific that we will have these back-to-back conferences,” executive director of the Bush Institute David Kramer stated.
“We’re very mindful of what’s happening in the United States, and we have to make sure we stay on a democratic path. At the same time, we have to help and support others around the world. So we can’t simply fold up our tent and focus on everything at home. We have to focus on both things,” Kramer added.
David Kramer is a name that is familiar to Trump supporters.
During the Russian collusion hoax Kramer obtained a copy of the hoax Steele dossier from Christopher Steele himself.
Kramer passed the dossier to his political patron John McCain.
McCain then personally handed the dossier to then FBI Director James Comey.
But no one may have been more responsible for the Russian collusion feeding frenzy then Kramer who leaked the dossier to BuzzFeed.
Until BuzzFeed published the dossier no outlet would publish the documents outlandish and clearly fake claims of a secret plot between Russian intelligence and the Trump campaign.
Once BuzzFeed published the dossier the corporate press was off to the races with the Russian collusion hoax.
Kramer’s involvement in publicizing the Steele dossier made it highly ironic that Obama would host panel discussions on how to slow “disinformation.”
During a speech at Stanford Obama made it clear he defined disinformation as conservative speech and his idea on how to slow it down was increased censorship in social media.
“I’m pretty close to a First Amendment absolutist,” Obama declared.
“The First Amendment is a check on the power of the state. It doesn’t apply to private companies like Facebook or Twitter, any more than it applies to editorial decisions made by the New York Times or Fox News. Never has. Social media companies already make choices about what is or is not allowed on their platforms and how that content appears. Both explicitly through content moderation and implicitly through algorithms. The problem is we often don’t know what principles govern those decisions.”
Both Bush and Obama and experts at disinformation.
Bush took American to war in Iraq based on the falsehood that Saddam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction.
And Barack Obama sold Obamacare to the American people using the lie that if they liked their doctor, they could keep their doctor.
The political establishment clearly wants to keep “democracy” – which Kramer undermined by trying to undo a free and fair election by leaking the Steele dossier – and the dangers of so-called “disinformation” – which the establishment defines as pro-Trump political views – in the media conversation.
