The walls are closing in on Adam Schiff.
Polls are showing impeachment is turning into a major political loser for the Democrats.
And Trey Gowdy sent Adam Schiff running for cover with one impeachment fact.
As American Patriot Daily reports:
Democrats are caught between a rock and a hard place.
The left’s unhinged base flocked to the polls last November to elect a Democrat majority in the House of Representatives to impeach the President.
But polls show overwhelming majorities of the American people oppose impeachment.
Robert Mueller’s investigation belly-flopped.
The Southern District of New York closed up shop into hush money payments made to Stormy Daniels and Karen McDougal without filing any charges beyond those former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pled guilty to earlier this year.
Speaker Pelosi faced a base that thirsted for vengeance and a series of investigations that failed to turn up a smoking gun and concocted a novel strategy.
Pelosi and her allies would tell the public they weren’t conducting an impeachment inquiry, but Democrats would also argue in court where no one could see that they were running an impeachment inquiry.
House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler claimed he was only considering formal impeachment hearings, while in court they argued that a judge should compel former White House counsel Don McGahn to testify because the Judiciary Committee was already in the middle of impeachment proceedings.
The Judiciary Committee is leaning heavily into the idea that impeahcment proceedings against Trump have already begun.
In a court filing today it says this is the reason the same judge should decide on access to Mueller's grand jury material and McGahn testimony. pic.twitter.com/oiHJJVwGJP

Trey Gowdy blew up this plan by calling the Democrats out on national TV.
In an appearance on Fox News, Gowdy ripped Nadler for trying to have it both ways.
“I think [the difference between formal impeachment and informal impeachment] is you wear a tuxedo instead of a Hawaiian shirt if it’s formal. I have no idea what that means. I mean, what is informal impeachment? Look, Jerry’s in a tough spot. You’ve got some really charismatic New York politicians: Alexandria [Ocasio-Cortez], Hakeem [Jefferies], Kathleen Rice — and he just ain’t one of them. And he’s going to be in trouble next election cycle, so he’s got to gin up the base,” Gowdy explained.
The former South Carolina Congressman explained that Democrats did not want to actually file articles of impeachment because they would lose.
“Either file articles of impeachment and put them on the floor of the House for a vote, or shut up,” Gowdy added. “But nobody is falling for this informal versus formal impeachment. There ain’t but one kind. Go file your articles of impeachment, put them on the floor, you’ll win in the House, you’ll lose in front of the jury, but go ahead and do it. But there’s no such thing as informal impeachment.”
Democrats fear President Trump running for re-election in 2020 claiming total vindication after the Senate fails to convict on the Democrat House majorities clearly political articles of impeachment.
Democrats want to force McGahn to testify because they think his testimony – which played a central role in the Mueller report’s volume on obstruction of justice – would generate negative headline after negative headline.
Even if McGahn’s testimony doesn’t result in articles of impeachment it would bloody President Trump’s approval ratings with endless news cycles of negative headlines.
But Democrats can only force McGahn to testify if there is an actual impeachment inquiry.
And as Trey Gowdy points out, Democrats don’t want to cross that bridge.
