Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats are in trouble.

Just eight months ago they were riding high.

But Nancy Pelosi is about to lose the Speaker’s gavel over this scary poll result.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

The determining factor in any midterm election is the public’s feelings about the president.

And as the summer marches on, the public sours on Joe Biden.

Americans reject Biden’s new calls for mask mandates, corporate America-enforced vaccine mandates, and the confused messaging from Dr. Fauci and Biden’s rogues’ gallery of incompetent public health “experts.”

When Joe Biden came into office, he promised to crush the virus and the American people rewarded Biden with sky-high approval ratings.

But the administration’s permanent pandemic strategy wore thin and Biden’s net approval rating on handling the coronavirus plunged 22 points in the latest Quinnipiac poll.

“With the Delta variant spreading and coronavirus cases once again spiking in the U.S., President Joe Biden maintains a positive grade on his handling of the coronavirus response as Americans approve 53 – 40 percent, according to a Quinnipiac (KWIN-uh-pea-ack) University national poll of adults released today. However, this is a double digit drop from a Quinnipiac University poll in May when Americans approved 65 – 30 percent of Biden’s handling of the coronavirus response,” the Quinnipiac polling memo read.

Democrats counted on the vaccines developed by the Trump administration to deliver a historic economic boom that would count as the party’s second ace in the hole – the first being Biden’s pandemic management – that allowed Democrats to defy history in 2022 and hang on to their narrow majorities.

But the inflation crisis – caused by Biden’s multi-trillion-dollar big government spending agenda – continues to choke off economic growth and Biden’s enhanced unemployment welfare benefits pay Americans more money to stay home rather than seek one of the nine million open jobs.

Now Joe Biden is underwater on the economy – which is always the top issue in every election.

“On his handling of the economy, Biden receives a negative 43 – 48 percent approval rating, compared to a positive 48 – 43 percent approval rating in May,” Quinnipiac also found.

The combination of imposing mandates on the American people after declaring victory over the virus in May combined with a border crisis, an inflation crisis and a jobs crisis sapped Biden’s approval rating.

“President Biden gets a mixed job approval rating, with 46 percent of Americans approving and 43 percent disapproving. This compares to a positive 49 – 41 percent job approval in May,” Quinnipiac’s polling memo reported.

Joe Biden is out of his honeymoon phase and the damage to his approval numbers will likely only get worse from here.

A president’s job approval number is a good barometer for how his party will perform in the midterm election.

In 2018 Donald Trump had a job approval of 45 percent and Republicans got 45 percent of the vote in that November’s midterm election.

Joe Biden sitting at 46 percent puts Democrat perilously close to wave election territory.

And that would spell the end of Nancy Pelosi’s tenure as speaker of the House.
