Joe Biden chose poorly when he picked Kamala Harris as his running mate.

Now the left is in a bind.

Democrats keep leaking about why they are terrified of Kamala Harris in 2024.

As Black Eye Politics reports:

Kamala Harris’ political career has taken a nosedive.

After first dropping out of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary before the race even kicked off in Iowa, Harris managed to win the consolation prize of serving as Joe Biden’s running mate in the general election.

At the time, this appeared to be a significant boost for Harris’ own political prospects, as Biden’s political triumph translated into her own power growing too.

But while Harris had hoped that the prospect of becoming vice president would naturally pave the way for her to smoothly emerge as the natural successor to Joe Biden, it appears those plans are now coming undone.

Now, Kamala Harris’ political future appears to be coming apart before her very eyes.

And Harris’ prospects are dimming because of attacks from within her own party.

While it is clear that Democrats never really harbored much love for Harris — as evidenced by her inability to pick up any support in the 2020 primaries — a recent New York Times interview with White House staff reveals just how unpopular she has become within the Democratic Party.

The New York Times reports, “(T)he painful reality for Ms. Harris is that in private conversations over the past few months, dozens of Democrats in the White House, on Capitol Hill and around the nation — including some who helped put her on the party’s 2020 ticket — said she had not risen to the challenge of proving herself as a future leader of the party, much less the country.”

Those words came after a series of White House staff lamented to the liberal paper that Harris’ career was effectively over.

But that wasn’t all.

To make matters worse for Harris, when The New York Times was writing this story, the paper’s reporters were told by Harris’ staff that there were individuals working within Joe Biden’s White House who were supportive of her.

And when The New York Times reached out to Biden’s own staff members, the results were humiliating for Kamala Harris.

“Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes confided privately that they had lost hope in her,” adds The New York Times.

This one line sums up the political downfall of Kamala Harris.

And the irony is that it came from one of the most left-wing newspapers in the entire country.

For Kamala Harris to lose the support of both Joe Biden’s staffers in the White House and The New York Times itself is an accomplishment that few Democrats could ever manage.

And it goes to show that her path to succeeding Joe Biden in the White House is anything but a foregone conclusion.

Should Harris decide to run for president herself in 2024 or 2028, there is a very good chance that she will face a strong primary challenge from within her own party.

And if The New York Times’ own reporting is anything to go by, it appears like Harris will once again lose.
