And Democrats just gave Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez a big new job.

The House Oversight Committee is ground zero for the new GOP majority in the House of Representatives to hold Joe Biden accountable and investigate Biden’s numerous scandals.
Republicans on the Oversight Committee plan to probe Joe Biden’s involvement in Hunter Biden’s business dealings, the COVID tyranny, the border crisis, the weaponization of the government against Trump supporters, and Big Tech censorship of conservatives.
Democrats revealed their plan to craft a counternarrative.
And that involved naming Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as the vice-ranking member and number-two Democrat on the panel.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is set to step into a larger role on the House Oversight Committee this Congress, perhaps even its No. 2 Democratic spot.
An elevation to the vice ranking member position, while it’s not yet final, would give the well-known third-term progressive Democrat a high-profile perch to tangle with Republicans on a laundry list of controversial investigations they’re planning — on topics ranging from Hunter Biden’s business dealings to the southern border to GOP efforts to probe the “origins” of the coronavirus.
Ocasio-Cortez told POLITICO her promotion had not been finalized, but Ocasio-Cortez said the goal was to run interference for Joe Biden and “de-legitimize” the GOP investigation using the Democrats’ favorite bugaboo calling the revelations the hearings were sure to produce “disinformation.”
“There’s been conversations, but nothing’s been finalized,” Ocasio-Cortez stated.
“I think I’m going to have a lot of fun on this committee,” Ocasio-Cortez continued. “Of course, [Republicans are] going to be calling hearings on horrible things, but our job is to protect the people and protect the vulnerable communities that they seek to attack … it gives us an opportunity and a platform to de-legitimize a lot of the disinformation that they’ve been advancing.”
Election denier Jamie Raskin — who voted against certifying Donald Trump’s win in the 2016 election and who spread lies about Trump and Russia — claimed Ocasio-Cortez would play a starring role in the pushback against the GOP probes.
“I have the greatest admiration for her skill, and I’m sure we’re going to be able to deploy her to maximum effect on the committee, along with all these other amazing new members,” Raskin declared.
By naming Ocasio-Cortez as the vice-ranking member Democrats tipped their hand as to their strategy.
Ocasio-Cortez will call everything racist and push other woke falsehoods about whatever Republicans investigate to try and turn the hearings into a circus.
When Ocasio-Cortez says she wants to “de-legitimize” the hearings and call them “disinformation” that is a signal to the Democrats’ allies in the corporate media that they should ignore the substance of the hearings and cover them as the type of political food fight everyday Americans roll their eyes at.
