Alvin Bragg keeps hitting potholes in his attempt to prosecute Donald Trump.

Now Bragg is the one under a microscope.

And Alvin Bragg admitted a huge defeat that will terrify Democrats.

As Conservative Revival reports:

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg knew a lost cause when he saw one.

But no one expected Bragg to admit defeat so soon.

Alvin Bragg waved the white flag of surrender in this legal fight about Donald Trump.

The Soros-backed Bragg threw in the towel on his hopeless lawsuit to block former Manhattan District Attorney’s Office prosecutor Mark Pomerantz from testifying before the House Judiciary Committee.

POLITICO reports:

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg dropped his lawsuit against the Republican-led House Judiciary Committee after the two sides reached a “settlement agreement” that will clear the way for the panel to interview a former prosecutor who investigated former President Donald Trump.

Aides to Bragg and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) announced the agreement late Friday after the lawsuit had escalated to an appeals court following a federal judge’s decision to decline to block a subpoena to the former prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz.

Republicans subpoenaed Pomerantz who resigned from the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office after Bragg refused to charge Trump on baseless financial crimes after admitting he had no evidence Trump did anything illegal.

Pomerantz then went on to write a book smearing Trump as guilty even though Trump faced no charges at the time.

Republicans believe Bragg ended up bringing the nonsensical falsifying business records charge against Trump after feeling the pressure from Pomerantz and other Democrats to charge Trump with something — anything — because they spent six years whipping themselves up into a lather with conspiracy theories and lies about Trump being some kind of Lex Luthor-like criminal mastermind.

Bragg did not have a leg to stand on in this fight.

A district court judge already tossed Bragg’s lawsuit noting that Congress has the power to conduct its own investigations.

The judge also noted that the only reason Congress wanted to get Pomerantz’s testimony on the record was because Pomerantz published a tell-all book about the investigation after resigning.

Pomerantz is the committee’s gateway into the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the Bragg investigation.

The committee can now access testimony, emails, and documents from Pomerantz’s time working on the Trump investigation under two different Manhattan district attorneys.

Pomerantz wrote in his book that the payment to Stormy Daniels was considered the “zombie case” in the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

It lay dormant until just after Donald Trump announced he was running for re-election.

Even liberal legal experts scoffed at the made-up and frivolous charges Bragg brought against Donald Trump.

Bragg’s case, and his potential political motivations to file this indictment, are on trial in the court of public opinion.

And if Republicans can show the broader public just how Bragg weaponized the justice system to go after Trump for political reasons this will destroy not just Bragg’s case against Trump, but the witch hunt Democrat prosecutors in Atlanta and Washington, D.C. are running against Trump.
