Adam Schiff is no stranger to leaks.
For three years Trump suspected Schiff fed the fake news media phony leaks to keep the Russian collusion hoax alive.
But now Adam Schiff tried to ruin Trump with this leak. Here’s how it backfired.
As Black Eye Politics reports:
Adam Schiff spent nearly three years going on every fake news CNN and MSNBC show that would book him to promote the baseless conspiracy theory that Donald Trump colluded with Russia to steal the 2016 presidential election.
Even though that hoax ended in humiliating collapse after the Mueller report failed to find any evidence of a criminal conspiracy between the Trump campaign and Russia, Schiff never abandoned his smear campaign against the President.
Instead, Schiff revived after an illegal leak in The New York Times of unverified classified information that the Russians paid the Taliban bounties to kill American soldiers.
This politically motivated Deep State leak intended to stop the President from fulfilling his campaign promise to bring troops home from Afghanistan by claiming Russia wanted America out of Afghanistan and Trump was so hell-bent on pleasing Putin that he ignored Russia paying blood money for the deaths of U.S. troops.
“If reports are true that Russia offered a bounty on U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Trump wasn’t briefed, that’s a problem. If he was briefed and still wanted Russia back in the G-8, it’s even worse. What will it take to get Trump to abandon the fiction that Putin is our friend?” Schiff tweeted the night the story broke.
But it turns out this intelligence was not some “closely guarded secret” as the Times claimed.
Instead, most of the key players in Washington knew about it and no one demanded action on it because they knew it was uncorroborated.
Among those that knew about the story and took the same stance as Trump was none other than Adam Schiff who was briefed about the alleged bounty program in February.
The Federalist exclusively reported that “Top committee staff for Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, were briefed in February on intelligence about Russia offering the Taliban bounties in Afghanistan, but he took no action in response to the briefing, multiple intelligence sources familiar with the briefing told The Federalist. The intelligence was briefed to Schiff’s staff during a congressional delegation, or CODEL, trip to Afghanistan in February.”
This bounty story ended up being another sad attempt by Adam Schiff to revive the Russian collusion hoax.
But just like the original allegation from the 2016 campaign, this one ended up embarrassing Adam Schiff.
